Collection and inspection
Assessing the damage
Where required we can arrange for collection of any damaged equipment. We have a relationship with a UK based national courier whereby a secure carry case is forwarded to the policyholder for collection of the damaged computer. The carry case is then returned to our premises within 24 hours.
All inspections of damaged equipment will be concluded and an inspection report forwarded to our Principals within 48 hours of receipt at our premises of the equipment.
Should the policyholder wish to either use his own packaging or use his own courier we will provide detailed instructions to ensure the secure transportation of the equipment.
In providing our inspection report we will advise as to whether the equipment in question can be economically repaired. We will also comment as to the nature of the damage and whether this is consistent with the reported circumstances of the loss.
